Vandelism of the Classics
With technology, our access to information has increased astromonically. This has given us an advantage in understanding the ideas and ideology across the geography and time. But, the same technology also allows us to change the narrative at scale. It is no news that social media extensively gets used by those ideologically driven to set the narrative for the future. But what if that is being done for the past as well?
Books are a window in to the thought process of the time when it was written. What if we start changing the words and text of classics? What if we start muddying the ideas of past with the ideas of present? These are not what ifs anymore.
If you buy the latest edition of a classic today, there is no way you can be sure that you are reading what the author actually wrote.

Indiscriminate fishing has been deterimental to the marine econology and for long it had been a contention that losing large sea life population will have an extremely adverse impact on the climate. Yet, the topic had received little dedicated attention. A recent (2022) paper has added to the research evidence about whales’ carbon capture potential. Read On »»»
